Voice Data:
- Audio recordings of your pronunciation during speaking exercises
- All voice processing happens on your device using WhisperKit
- Transcribed text may be stored to improve your learning experience

3. Voice Data & On-Device Processing
Your voice stays private. We use WhisperKit, an on-device speech recognition system:
- All audio processing happens locally on your iPhone/iPad
- Voice recordings are not uploaded to our servers
- Only transcribed text is stored (with your conversation history)
- You can delete your conversation history at any time
4. Data Storage & Security
Local Storage:
- Learning preferences stored in secure device storage
- Sensitive credentials stored in iOS Keychain (encrypted)
- Analytics events stored locally for up to 90 days
Cloud Storage:
- User profiles and progress stored in Supabase (encrypted at rest)
- All data transmitted via HTTPS encryption
- We do not sell your personal data
5. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
CocoLingo is designed for users of all ages. For users under 13:
- We collect only information necessary for the learning experience
- We do not collect personal contact information without parental consent
- Parents can review, delete, or refuse further collection of their child's data

- Access your personal data

7. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained while your account is active
- Analytics events: Retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted
- Conversation history: Retained until you delete it
